As some of our questions about cellulite are still being discovered, it’s hard to say how exactly it occurs. From what we understand, many different factors can contribute to cellulite. Factors such as genetics, gender, skin texture, and more. Factors such as exercise and diet, weight loss or weight gain, and hormones are still trying to determine if they impact when trying to understand cellulite, but no direct relationship has been found yet.
Gender and genetics help determine if cellulite will be shown in an individual.
Gender- Females tend to get cellulite due to the carrying fat in the hips, botox, and thighs. Men distribute fat evenly from their vertical body frame. In women, fibrotic cords run vertically along the body with fat pockets in between each cord. When These cords can act as bungees. As the cords are being pulled downward, the fat pocked bulge above the cord. This action is what makes the skin dimple.
Genetics: If female ancestors have cellulite, there are a high chance younger females of the family tree will have it as well.
FAQ’s
Does Exercise Help Reduce cellulite?
Very fit and active women still can have cellulite. Regardless of how active one is, women naturally have a higher content of body fat. If an active woman has a genetic predisposition for cellulite, no amount of exercise can eliminate the fibrotic cords and pockets. Even toning the muscles of the body, such as legs and thighs, will not affect cellulite. This shows there's a proponent of genetics with cellulite. Someone with a higher BMI may have more proportion of cellulite.
Does Ethnicity Play a Role with cellulite?
Maybe. The tone of skin might affect how much cellulite stands out. Darker skin tones might be able to hide cellulite a lot better than skin of lighter tones. When light reflects off the skin, the dimpling of cellulite is highlighted by the shadows the light casts.

One and done! With the extensive analysis prior to the procedure, we reassure your concerns are addressed. The peak results will appear around 3 months after the procedure.
